Unfortunately for my bank balance I have splurged quite a bit on jewellery lately.
Firstly, I spotted a few cute necklaces from Accessorize . I am loving teacups and teapots lately, ballerinas and of course cupcakes. I got complimented on the cupcake necklace by a couple of friendly gay men working in Selfridges. More on Selfridges coming up in a later post.
A few weekends ago I was lucky enough to go to Sunday-Up! Market with a couple of like-minded friends (see
Shoegazer and
Candy Land for their blogs!)
Sunday-Up! is a craft market held on Sundays near Brick Lane in London. There are a range of different stalls with crafty items ranging from greeting cards to clothing.
I forget the names of the stalls I got the elephant and rocking horse from. The brooch, featuring a Matryoshka doll, was made by Rosie Wonders, who is fantastic.
More examples of her work can be found on her
website .
I have also been searching for jewellery online...
Continuing with my tea party theme, I found this slice of cake and teacup necklace on
Etsy. It is made by Cute Ability who has a lot of other interesting (mostly food related <3) necklaces in their
shop.
And this teapot pouring into a teacup necklace made by
LycheeKiss, also on Etsy. I love the way the chain and small charms represent the liquid pouring into the cup.
Also found this tea tray brooch from Ebay. Can't remember the seller, sorry.
Last but certainly not least, I decided to indulge in this little hungry hippo necklace from
bLugrnDesign. The site has many beautiful animal-inspired silhouette necklaces under the shop section. I was also very interested in the owl necklace, but hippo necklaces are harder to obtain.
That's more than I can afford but I will be posting some other finds which I find inspiring.
